What is today but yesterdays tomorrow?
Name: Cursico Jake Sleath.
Age: 2 Years.
Gender: Male.
Pack: Howler.
Rank: Alpha.
Species: Vampire Wolf.
Description: Cursico has a stocky build, typical of the arctic wolf he used to be before he was turned. He is built for hard conditions, instilled with stamina and strength which is essential in the cold desert of the antartic. His fur is mainly creamy white, thick with both an under and outer layer which bother him in hot weather. Cursico's back, tail and muzzle are all marred with different shades of grey, one bordering on black around his shoulders.
Being a young wolf, Cursico is not marked with spoils of war, at least not yet. While he is a vicious and competent fighter, he still has a little more weight to put on until he is fully grown. Yellow eyes betray his age, his eyes could belong on that of a five-year-old wolf, wearied by the trails of life with a dark hate glowing just underneath the surface, there is no visible pupil or whites in his eyes, just a solid daunting yellow..
Personality: Cursico isn't very friendly Though he's happy to give a helping hand if it can benefit him- benefiting him can simply mean that he learns new things, or if it stops him from becoming bored. If it suits him he'll try to manipulate people into doing what he wants, he's quite good at hitting the core of peoples problems, and from little things like how they present things work out whats on their mind.
Cursico is an impulsive creature, sometimes he does the most random things. Once he gets his mind set on something he becomes stubborn. Although he seems to be an unsocial creature, once bonds are created Cursico stays true to them, he won't lie to someone he considers a friend, even if the truth is harder than a lie. Someone he could never befriend would be a hypocrite. Cursico is very straight on his morals, and in turn expects people to understand themselves.
He may act like your best friend, he may treat you as his worst nemesis, but in the end Cursico doesn't display his feelings very well and what is shown outwardly may just be the opposite of how he feels inside. A rough life has forced him into using his emotions like tools, only allowing certain ones to show if they help a situation.
History: Oh lab experiments, how beautiful they be. In the dark workings of the Tailess mind they thought it would be a good idea to monitor a whole litter of wolf cubs, it had something to do with how genetics altered behaviour, not that Cursico cared why they hurt him so. From a very young age, he and his siblings were put into a gigantic maze, with all sorts of twists and turns to test their intelligence on such matters.
At the end was a rabbit carcass, all the pups were put in different areas of the maze, released at the same time. Jake found it more interesting to chase his tail in circles, Dan climbed over the wall of the maze which disqualified him, Beany sat there and looked dim. Kitty, No name and Cursico all started wandering around the maze with their chubby legs.
Oddly enough, all three arrived at the center at the same moment, which was great! They got to eat some of the rabbit before the scientists put them all into individual cages. Before then they had lived in a pen-type area, with all sorts of stimulation, plus the undoting love of their mother. They were close enough to hear one another, and howled all through the night.
The next day, the White coats snapped the right hind leg of each animal and set them back in the maze with no splints, painkillers or any other care. Beany sat and cried his pain, Dan started running randomly around the maze, Jake limped back and forth along a straight section. No Name laid down and started licking his leg. Kitty remembered the maze and walked the same way she had before to get to its center, meeting Cursico at exactly the same time in the middle.
After that their legs were splintered and they were all put together in one cage with no food or water. There had been no prize in the middle of the maze that time. All of the pups were feeling miserable, and so began to fight each other in the cramped cage with growing viciousness. Beany came out the worst off, and when they were put in a new maze the next day it showed.
The second maze was much larger, with a covered roof so they couldn't escape. They stumbled around in it for hours, until all siblings but Beany were wandering it together- as a pack. A day passed, the exhausted pups finally found Beany lying on his side still in the starting point. They sat with him in his last moments, and watched as their brother slowly died.
No Name made the suggestion that they could all survive if they ate him. Kitty reasoned that he wouldn't feel it, and really he'd want them to, so the White Coats couldn't disect him. Cursico thought a while and then agreed. Dan and Jake also agreed after a while of debating with themselves.
Feeling better after the deed was done, they set off again, this time all of them found the center together. Although they had to wait another day before a Scientist came and let them out. Then they were allowed a little water and food, but not enough to keep them happy in their seperate cages.
A year passed with the most absurd and pointless experiments being carried out on them, whenever they were allowed together the siblings never spoke of Beany and his fate. Until... Cursico realised the door of his cage hadn't latched closed properly. With that he found himself on the lab floor. Searching for a way out, he found his siblings... and was shocked to see all their doors were also unlatched. (While he never found out why, an animal rights group called Peta had opened all the doors for them).
After that they found the ajar door into the outside world they had never seen. Not fearing it anymore than they did the White Coats, the siblings set out into the wild. Oh how surprised they were at everything, but they could catch no food... On the brink of starvation all seemed lost, but Cursico fell to the ground and started to wither, eyes rolling up into the back of his skull.
A vampire wolf was born and doomed.
It was just the added boost they needed. Cursico managed to get his teeth around the nose of a deer, and held it while his siblings held it down and throttled it. Food had never tasted so good! They travelled some more, although it was restricted to night as Cursico had developed a sensitivity to light among other things.
He and No Name squabbled over leadership, whereupon Cursico accidentally turned his brother to vampirism too. That was when they found a weird row of rocks stretching out to sea. The siblings travelled across the Wolf Bridge and found themselves in Klyde.
Cursico joined the Howlers, and with alot of spilled blood and anquish. But he wouldn't settle for anything less than Alpha, no matter how much blood on his paws. Cursico lost contact with his siblings, although he assumes they're still around somewhere.
Siblings: No Name, Kitty, Jake, Dan & Beany (Deceased)
Parents: Corsica & James.
Other: He's slightly insane.
