Vampire Wolf, Was once an ordinary Ethiopian Wolf

Katsu has a slim build, leg muscles well defined and a jutting muzzle. The colors of his coat are typical of an Ethiopian wolf, the clay reds, brindles, and cotton whites. His bristled fur has no defined, abnormal patterns, just the typical coloration of his previous wolf subspecies. Katsu tends not to blend in well in appearance with the other wolves of his pack, standing out much better than [Where's] Waldo could ever manage. Eyes the color of riverbank clay, they seem to to refuse to show negative emotions. Yes, his eyes do often betray how he feels. In all, Katsu looks more like a coyote than a wolf, but tell that to his face and he'll bring you into submission.

Katsu has a generally lighthearted personality and lives to serve. It's all in who he really is, his own person. He's very hyperactive and does a lot of talking. He talks very fast, but it isn‘t too hard too keep up if they pay attention. If he's not hyperactive he's just a mere empty shell of his normal self because he's too tired to do much and not in a very nice mood. Katsu is a generally kind, goofy, and approachable wolf. Odd for a vampire wolf, isn't it? He isn’t very serious, so it’s hard to tell when he actually is. In a pinch? Call on Katsu, he's sure to help. Doesn't matter what your problem is, if he can lend a hand you know without a second thought he will. Gullible? Perhaps, but that's because he's so trusting. He's never has a day without being slightly cynical, but most of the time he is trusting. A hearts promise is always true, right?

Katsu was raised on the plains in the loner lands. From birth his sister Mana was an invalid. Her disability, paralyzation, made her the center of his parents attention until her very young death, then the center of their thoughts. Everything was about the sister. Sure, Katsu got everything he needed, but he didn't get what he wanted most. Attention. Arcane taught him what he needed to know to get on in life, how to hunt, the works, but the social neglect is what gave him his odd personality. He was like a servant to his family, trying so desperately to be perfect. He always thought that if he were to be the best, they would show him attention. Sounds strange? Well, it was and Katsu's a strange wolf.
